Security Services in New Mexico
New Mexico’s retail activity is concentrated in Albuquerque, while Santa Fe and Taos support a strong art, jewelry and tourism economy. Federal laboratories, military installations, healthcare and film production make up much of the state’s employer base.
Security Considerations in New Mexico
Cultural tourism shapes demand across the state, with major events such as the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and the Santa Fe summer markets bringing visitors and high-value goods into small areas for short periods. Businesses often need added coverage for these events and for gallery openings and private receptions. Planning should start early.
Government contractors and research suppliers usually require strict access control and careful record keeping. Bilingual English and Spanish officers are important throughout the state. Elevation, winter snow and long drives between cities affect exterior posts and supervision, especially outside the Albuquerque metro. Officers assigned to smaller towns may need to work with less on-site backup, which makes clear written procedures more important.

Services Available
Services in New Mexico include luxury retail asset protection, retail security officers, concierge and lobby security, commercial building security, special event security, executive protection support and fire watch. Post Orders are written for each location around its layout, hours and risk.
Screening, Training and Supervision
Officers complete a five-stage screening process and tier-based training before assignment, including de-escalation and, for retail posts, organized retail crime recognition. Supervisors make unannounced site visits, and the MGP Operations Desk answers 24/7/365. Incidents are documented on scene, time-stamped and GPS-verified.
New Mexico Licensing
In New Mexico, McCray Global Protection operates under the MGP Hybrid Operating Model. Officers are supplied by vetted local partners who hold the licenses required by the state and local jurisdiction, and MGP manages the program: screening and training standards, supervision, Post Orders, reporting and account management.
How is security guard coverage priced?
Rates depend on the officer classification, hours, schedule and site requirements. MGP provides a written rate schedule after reviewing your needs. Holiday, overnight and short-notice coverage is billed at a premium rate.
