Security Services in Louisiana

Louisiana’s retail and hospitality activity is concentrated in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, with regional centers in Lafayette, Shreveport and Lake Charles. The state’s economy draws on tourism and events, petrochemical and energy production, port operations, healthcare and state government.

Security Considerations in Louisiana

Louisiana businesses plan around a full calendar of festivals, Carnival celebrations, college football and major sporting events. Each can fill streets, hotels and stores for days at a time. Retailers and venues need a provider that books coverage early, understands street closures and crowd patterns, and keeps regular posts covered during event periods.

Hurricanes, tropical storms and heavy rain affect every part of the state. Flooding can close roads quickly and limit access to sites for extended periods. Clients need help securing premises before a storm, officers posted at closed properties when it is safe and a clear plan for reopening. Industrial clients also need officers who follow strict plant safety procedures.

Services Available

Services in Louisiana include luxury retail asset protection, retail security officers, concierge and lobby security, commercial building security, special event security, executive protection support and fire watch. Post Orders are written for each location around its layout, hours and risk.

Screening, Training and Supervision

Officers complete a five-stage screening process and tier-based training before assignment, including de-escalation and, for retail posts, organized retail crime recognition. Supervisors make unannounced site visits, and the MGP Operations Desk answers 24/7/365. Incidents are documented on scene, time-stamped and GPS-verified.

Louisiana Licensing

In Louisiana, McCray Global Protection operates under the MGP Hybrid Operating Model. Officers are supplied by vetted local partners who hold the licenses required by the state and local jurisdiction, and MGP manages the program: screening and training standards, supervision, Post Orders, reporting and account management.

How is security guard coverage priced?

Rates depend on the officer classification, hours, schedule and site requirements. MGP provides a written rate schedule after reviewing your needs. Holiday, overnight and short-notice coverage is billed at a premium rate.
